This 15-minute documentary invites viewers into Open Futures 2024, following our six selected artists (Stephanie Keane, Paddy Mulcahy, Matías Homar, an0th3r.l0p3z, Billy Kemp and Sophie Hutchinson) as they explore new creative possibilities through movement, technology and collaboration. Documented by Lucy Dawson, and edited by Lucy with Open Futures co-curator Laura Murphy, the film offers an insightful look at the artists’ research processes and shared moments developed across two residency periods in Limerick.
Working across dance, music, digital and screen-based practices, the artists engage in interdisciplinary exchange, testing ideas, tools and methods at the meeting point of movement and technology. The documentary reflects the curiosity, openness and spirit of inquiry that shaped the programme.
Also featured are Open Futures co-curator Jürgen Simpson and masterclass facilitators MHz (Bex Anson and Dav Bernard) and Andrew Quinn.
Artists are encouraged to keep an eye out for the Open Futures 2026 Open Call, launching later in January.
