Sophie is a contemporary dancer, performer and facilitator based in Clare. She holds a BPA(hons) from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and has been studying Somatic Movement Education since 2016.

As an artist, she has created and performed work with theatre companies in Ireland, the UK and Poland and independently, has worked collaboratively with musicians, filmmakers, and poets.

Sophie is interested in accessibility in the arts and for the last year has been developing her practice under the mentorship of Adam Benjamin (co-founder of CandoCo Dance Company) thanks to support from Glór Theatre and the Arts Council.  As a practitioner, she offers workshops and classes locally in Clare and Limerick. Sophie is also a panel artist on the Clare Arts and Disability Embrace programme and currently has a residency with the BOC in Ennis.
