Choreographer Rosemary Lee shares her thoughts about making dance work for outdoor sites, illustrated with stills and film extracts of her past works over the last decade. She will touch on themes of dance, nature and community and explore what makes dance unique in its potential to strengthen our engagement with the natural environment.
After her presentation she will lead a workshop outdoors focusing on attentiveness and connectivity, followed by a chance for participants to discuss and share thoughts together.
Suitable for trained and untrained dancers.
Dance and Ecology will be supported by a series of wrap-around community activities led by DL.BRIDGE Artist Katy Hewison in collaboration with Rosemary Lee and Learning and Engagement Facilitator Aoife Doherty from Limerick City Gallery of Art.
Dance and Ecology Workshop with Rosemary Lee is co-organised as part of the Stronger Together programme of the British Council. Presented in partnership with Dance Ireland.
