Artist Presentation: Hummingbirds And Hamburgers

Something is Happening (2023) is an experimental documentary that tracks the conversations and improvisations of an interdisciplinary group of artists during a performance residency at Fondazione Bonotto (IT). Over the course of 6 days, the participants re-imagine words and icons from screen interfaces as prompts for movement, culminating in a live performance.

This work is part of Hummingbirds and Hamburgers, a performance research collaboration between Christine Ellison (IRE/UK), Erato Tzavara (UK/GR), and Nicholas Ward (IRE). For Light Moves, Ellison, Tzavara and Ward present Something is Happening within the context of their collaboration and wider research.
