Sebastian Adams is a composer, viola player and artistic director from Dublin. He is founder of Kirkos, which runs an experimental/DIY music venue in Dublin and is also an ensemble currently focused on collaboratively composed experimental music. His broad interdisciplinary practice takes in improvisation, conceptual music, Fluxus and computer music. Current projects include running the Kirkos venue, delivering scores over the web, a web-based project focusing on stealing copyrighted material, and experiments with radio transmissions. He studied in Dublin and Vienna, and more recently in IRCAM, Paris. He is doing a PhD on collaborative and politically engaged composition at UCD, supervised by Seán Clancy.
