Hutchinson | Kemp is the collaborative practice of Sophie Hutchinson and Billy Kemp. Their work explores movement, space, and mediation through an approach grounded in expanded time, working across dance, moving image, sound, and installation.

The collaboration first developed through the Open Futures residency 2024 programme. Together they created Mediated Motion, an installation comprising a series of works for projection, multi-screen display, and light boxes. Their film Nothing Exists Until It Moves has been presented at screen dance festivals across Europe and was recently developed into an installation format at EYE Filmmuseum, Amsterdam, as part of Cine Dans Festival (NE).
