Anna Macdonald‘s work spans site-specific, installation, and screen-based practice. Her recent practice has focused on the relationship between transience, predictability and mortality, looking for ways to articulate how people make a transient world feel reliable enough to live in. Many of these explorations have involved working directly with the public, finding ways to create and frame people’s experiences in ways that allow them to be re-seen.
Anna has received International recognition for her work including being selected for; Art Currents, New York, VideodanzBA, Argentina, Dascamdans, Belgium, Miden Festival, Greece and being nominated for the International Video Dance awards in Barcelona. Her work has been exhibited nationally in galleries such as Sidney Kent Gallery, Peter Scott Gallery and Bluecoat Arts Centre.
